Frogs' Breath

Hey Everyone! Seeing as it has been one hell of a week! My stress levels are through the roof and I have tons going on right now. I am going to post when I can but it won't be really regular. As it is I am getting texts with more information to make my blood pressure raise while I am writing this. I need a vacation!

The ever lovely Mihaela brought to my attention that I somehow forgot to post CrowsToes Halloween polish Frogs' Breath. Thank you Mihaela for noticing that!! It is one of my favorites too and I must have been planning my post in my head and totally didn't realize that I forgot to post it. Someone should smack me with a shoe for that one!! Go check out Mihaela's blog if you haven't already! She rocks and I put a link to I made it easy for you! GO NOW! Ok, wait, look at Frogs' Breath first THEN GO!

I used RGB Sea for the base color. I hadn't used this polish before and honestly never heard of the brand until I received it in a secret swap. It is a gorgeous color although the name Sea doesn't seem fitting in my mind.

I was using the glue base coat method so I took the pictures of my base color before my middle finger base coat completely dried. Please excuse the nudity.

If Frogs' Breath were really this gorgeous I would be collecting frogs to breathe on me. Yes, I know, that just doesn't sound right. I would though. I love frogs!

Frogs' Breath is a combination of green and gold glitter.

It tis gorgeous.

I even took pictures in the store because the mani was so gorgeous and it sparkled so much.

My camera did not do this polish justice. It is so much more awesome in person.

You can purchase this polish from Llarowe and Overall Beauty

That's all for now :)

Oopsie Daisies Pink of Me

Hey Everyone!! I hope all is well in your world! Mr. Neil is starting to be playful again so I am hopeful that he will be better soon. I am still worried about him but the vet seems to think he is mostly weak due to not eating enough. He LOVES the wet food we have for him but the dry food he has rejected. I guess we have to go up to the pet store tonight and find an alternative dry food. I actually think the pieces are too big for him to handle well but that is just a theory. Bruce loves the dry food and stole Neil's rejected food twice now. Bruce is PICKY as can be when it comes to food too.

I have an ingrown toenail. Ugh. It is so painful. I am seriously considering amputating the toe. I should probably stop trying to perform surgery on it. I am pretty sure I had this stupid nail permanently fixed 13 years ago but I can't remember and I have another ingrown toenail so either it didn't work or I didn't have it fixed. I used to have major problems with my big toes. I just accidentally tapped the tip of my shoe on my desk and had shooting pain in my toe. I don't REALLY NEED my big toe right?!

Ok. October is Breast Cancer Awareness month as I am sure EVERYONE knows by now. This year I planned on buying one of the Breast Cancer Awareness polishes so I could do some manis for the month. The first ones I came across were the big name brands but then Cathryn, creator of Indie brand Oopsie Daisies, came out with her Breast Cancer Awareness polish and I knew exactly where I was ordering from. Not only was her polish awesome but she is donating money from each bottle sold and I felt comfortable KNOWING that she was going to actually be donating and KNOWING where the money was going. I also love Cathryn, her blog and her polishes as well as the thought of bringing awareness to the other side of this nasty disease.

Everyone is pretty aware that Breast Cancer effects women based on the widespread information on the disease but few people realize that it also affects men. Cathryn has had this cancer strike close to home when her father was diagnosed with Male Breast Cancer and so she chose a cause that helps bring awareness to male breast cancer. Now, every time I see the commercials and the athletes in various sports wearing Pink to support the cause I think well, wait, they NEVER mention male breast cancer. I hope that more and more people start to become aware that this cancer affects men as well.

Enough babble already right?! Today I have Oopsie Daisies Pink of Me! I feel bad because my nails are still short and this polish deserves so much more. I will definitely post this again when my nails are nicer. I also forgot to take a picture of the bottle. Feel free to smack me with a shoe.

This is three coats of Pink of Me. Ignore the greasy cuticles, I was trying to bring them back from their parched state.

Pink of Me is a gorgeous squishy, jelly pink with lots of glitter in there.

There is pink glitter and then another glitter of unknown color. I am not sure if it is white, silver or a lighter shade of pink. It also has a shimmer to it. I don't do pink very often but I sure do love this one.

I am a freak who likes my polish to be on the thin side so I added some thinner to this polish when I was doing my mani. Application was great and though you can see a bit of unevenness in application it was my fault and not the polishes fault.

I kept feeling the overwhelming need for either Jolly Ranchers or pink Starburst when I wore this mani.

I love the glitter in this polish, it is not overwhelmingly in your face but still adds depth and awesomeness.

I need to wear this polish again! Soon!

The light causes this polish to be so vibrant and bright.

You can purchase this polish from Oopsie Daisies Etsy Shop for $9.00. Cathryn will donate $2.00 from every bottle purchased to HisBreastCancer.org to help raise awareness for Male Breast Cancer. It is a great polish and a great cause to support.

That's all for now :)

Bone Daddy

Hey Everyone! I am happy to report that Mr. Neil's test results are all negative. SO we don't know what is wrong with him but he seems to be getting better by the day so that is good. He is enjoying the wet food the doctor wants him to eat which is also good. Hopefully he continues to get better. I am also feeling better though I am still congested and have a slight cough. Thank you for your well wishes I greatly appreciate them :)

Today I have the last Halloween CrowsToes polish to show you.

I used Gelish Medieval Madness as my base coat.

I think is the perfect nude for this polish. Next time I want to do it over a sheer jelly in either gray or white.

I just wanted to show this picture because I love that weirdly shaped white glitter. It reminds me of an arrow.

This is one coat of CrowsToes Bone Daddy.

Bone Daddy has various shapes and sizes of white glitter with iridescent glitter in there too.

I love this polish a lot.

Now that I have shown you all of the Halloween collection I can't figure out which one is my favorite.

I also want to do whole new manis with them using different color combinations.

I haven't done much Halloween stuff this month because my nails are short and I am just not feeling the nail art. I do love the Halloween themed polishes though so I am at least doing those. Hopefully I find some Halloween spirit to do at least a couple nail art posts before the 31st.

That's all for now :)

Stupid Germs

Hey Everyone! Sorry I went M.I.A again. I was out of work and pretty much sleeping most of the day Friday. Luckily my cold has mostly cleared up. I still feel congested and a bit under the weather but I am much much better. Mr. Neil is sick now. He has me quite worried. He got his shots on Thursday and then slept ALL day Friday. I mean ALL DAY. He didn't wake me up Saturday morning and he usually wakes me up 4-5 times before 7:30 am daily. Saturday he was looking a bit better but still not acting right. He also seems to have problems with his back legs. Due to his condition he is usually kinda spastic when he moves but this is far worse than normal.

He went to the vet yesterday and they are running tests. Most of the tests came back negative and we are just waiting on some results today. He is very underweight though. We have to feed him some special food to bulk him up a bit. He has a fever which I am hoping just came from the shots. He has been eating and drinking like a little pig the past couple of days so at least he has his appetite back. He is more alert and mobile so that is looking good too. I am going crazy with worry though so I hope those results come back soon. I have him at work with me today so I can keep an eye on him.

I should be able to get back on schedule once he is back to normal. I have my last CrowsToes Halloween polish to post but of course somehow I forgot to put those photos in photobucket so I can't post them now. Due to being sick and now Neil making me crazy with worry I haven't even painted my nails in days. I have also neglected my cuticles which I should be smacked with a shoe for. I have so many projects and packages I need to mail out and I have fallen behind on that too. I hate being sick.

I am hoping to have good news from the vet  later and a nice post for you all. Thank you for all the well wishes!

That's all for now :)

Tangled Web

Hey Everyone!! I went home early from work today. My boss told me I sounded like S&*T and I could go home. Uh, thanks? My throat is sore and I have a cold so I happily welcomed coming home to relax. Hopefully tomorrow I will feel better, we will see.

Today's polish is CrowsToes Tangled Web from the Halloween collection.

This polish is black and iridescent glitter in a clear base. Black glitter? HECK YEAH!

Please forgive me but when I did this mani I did each hand with a different base color. The first combo I will show you is with Wet N Wild Megalast polish in Root of All Evil. This polish is from the Pick Your Poison collection.

I used one coat of Tangled Web.

I very much liked this combination.

Tangled Web has some bar glitter in it. I love black glitter so this is one of my favorites.

The first hand I did was over Sinful Colors In the Mist. I did this hand first but didn't like how the black glitter didn't stand out real well.

I think the base was a little too dark and hid the black glitter so I only did one hand with this base.

I love the way the iridescent glitter looks against In the Mist.

That's all for now :)

Last Call at the Crow Bar

Hey Everyone! I am laughing so hard right now! Zakk Wylde is hilarious! We are watching That Metal Show which is funny anyway. Ok back to nail polish, sorry I am distracted lol.

For this next CrowsToes Halloween polish I wanted to use a weird color for the base. I think I accomplished that when I chose this Essence polish.

Essence High Spirits. I got this baby on clearance at Ulta.

I love the shade but it looks somewhat frosty. It has a shimmer as you can see in the photo above. I don't hate it but I don't know if I love it yet. I will try it again someday. Sorry about the cleanup but I was in a rush to get the Crows on my nails.

I put one coat of Last call at the Crow Bar on top of High Spirits.

Last call at the Crow Bar is a mixture of different glitters. This baby has AH MAZ ING yellow glitter in it that totally captured my attention. I love that yellow glitter. It also has bar glitter in it.

Can you see that yellow in there? OMG I LOVE the yellow.

This was one dabbing, swiping coat.

I am not completely into multi colored glitter for some reason. All those Happy Birthday type polishes don't do much for me but this one does.

I like that it has darker glitter in there, I think that is what makes me like this multi color glitter most.

I also LOVE the yellow glitter lol.

This was really hard to capture on camera. It looks WAY cooler in person.

It is super shiny and glitterific and I totally love it.

I think next time I will try it over a different color I just can't figure out which color lol.

That's all for now :)

Purple People Eater

Hey Everyone! Ok, so I feel zombie like today. Mr. Neil has decided he wants to wake up before 5am for the past three days and doesn't want me sleeping. I am TIRED! We also watched season 1 of The Walking Dead Saturday night. OMG I love it!!!! We need to watch season 2 but yesterday was Football day and then tonight is Monday Night Football/WWE night BUT I think df is so excited to watch The Walking Dead we might watch some of that instead. I always find out about the good shows well into their 3rd or 4th seasons. I just discovered The Big Bang Theory a few months ago. I am definitely behind!

I just got done filing my nails down. SIGH. My nails are giving me such fits. I have been trying to do nice manis but my nails are such crap that it discourages me. Peeling and weak and bendy and crap. They are filed down now and I hate them. I did a Gelish mani on my nails the other day but because they are such peely messes the gelish actually started lifting. That stuff should last at least 2 weeks and on me it lasted 2 days. I wish there was a miracle cure.

For now I have more Halloween CrowsToes from last week when my nails were a bit more decent.

CrowsToes Purple People Eater.

Purple People Eater is a great combination of purple, blue and green glitter. Perfection!

I used Sinful Colors Precious Metal as a base.

I used two coast of Precious Metal.

One coat of Purple People Eater over Precious Metal. The glitter in Purple People Eater is much finer than the chunky glitters in Voo Doo and Hell Hath No Fury.

This would be a great polish for those that don't like chunky glitter. I happen to love all glitter.

I very much enjoy how the green glitter sort of glows. This polish is really very pretty.

I have seen a lot of purple and blue glitter combined polishes and I think adding the green is GENIUS and makes it super awesome.

It tis BEAuTIful! I love it! I also get the Purple People Eater song stuck in my head every time I talk about this polish.

It was a one eyed, one horned, flying purple people eater. One eyed, one horned, flying purple people eater...

That's all for now :)
